The southbound 405 Freeway from the 101 Freeway to Getty Center Drive will be closed intermittently Dec. 6-8 and Dec. 13 due to a freeway widening project. A press release stated the freeway will be widened near the Mulholland Bridge to support construction. The southbound lanes will begin to close between 10 p.m. and midnight each night and are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. each morning. Entrance and exit ramps may close as early as 7 p.m., according to Metro.
Metro officials also stated in a release that the southbound Skirball Center Drive off-ramp will be closed at 7 p.m.on Dec. 9 and will remain closed until 6 a.m. Dec. 12.
Metro officials say Sepulveda Boulevard will not be closed near the construction area during the full freeway closures and that emergency personnel will have access at all times.
